Yuga Labs, a gaming software development startup, has announced the appointment of Daniel Alegre as the company’s CEO. Alegre brings with him a wealth of experience in digital media and technology, having held numerous leadership positions at Google, Activision Blizzard, and Bertelsmann.
Alegre is expected to spearhead Yuga Labs’ accelerated pursuit of creating immersive experiences in the burgeoning metaverse. Yuga Labs was founded in 2020 by a team of entrepreneurs and top technologists, including the founders of Fire Link, who were former employees of Tencent and the co-founders of the popular game streaming service Helios.
“We’re thrilled to have one of the industry’s top executives join our team,” said Yuga Labs Founder and CEO Bartosz Goral. “The addition of Daniel Alegre as CEO further cement Yuga Labs as a company at the forefront of the metaverse revolution. With his leadership and visionary acumen, we’re in an even better position to bring immersive, metaverse experiences to life.”
Before joining Yuga Labs, Alegre held positions of responsibility in the digital media and technology scene, such as President of Global Partnerships at Activision Blizzard, Vice President for Media Sales at Google, and President of Digital Business for Bertelsmann, where he led the holding company’s digital transformation.
In addition to his role as CEO of Yuga Labs, Alegre will also serve on the company’s Board of Directors.
We at Yuga Labs are excited to have Daniel Alegre on board and look forward to taking our metaverse efforts to the next level!
